Elmsgate Design is based in the lovely village of Upton, just outside Didcot, covering the surrounding area and further afield. We specialise in new-build gardens, helping you take that solitary patch of lawn on the start of a journey to become the space you need and want.

We work closely with clients to create dream gardens. Whatever your preferred style, budget or size of garden, we can help you transform your outdoor spaces into unique, special places.

I specialise in small to medium gardens that come with new builds. If you already have pictures that you’ve found online or a mood board it will be great to work with your ideas

Our first meeting can be online or at your garden so that you can tell me what you want, thinking about how the space will be used and what kind of styles appeal to you. I have mood boards and sample projects to give you some ideas.

If you have an idea of the budget you want to spend then that helps, but if you want to build a garden over a few years and only have some smaller projects to start with, we can put you on the right path.

Is there something specific you want to include in the design like a water feature or pergola you saw at the garden centre, a dog friendly area for your inquisitive pooch or a quiet memory corner for a loved one. I’ll map it out for you and show you a 3D picture of how it could look in your garden.

My design package includes a planting and 2D building plan, detailed and to scale, a 3D walkthrough of the final space, mood boards, material sourcing, lighting and help with tendering for the work, as needed.

It’s difficult to give you an idea of the cost for your garden renovation, as each project is different, but have a look at the fee for my standard package and what you would get for that. If you have a budget in mind then that makes it so much easier for me to tell you what you can best achieve for your investment. Our initial discussions and exchange of ideas come with no charge or commitment. If you decide to go forward, the cost of the initial meeting will be added to the final invoice at my hourly rate of £160.

Price and suggest suppliers for off-the-shelf options such as pergolas, gazebos, installations, even aggregates and rocks
I can be there on the delivery day for the placing and planting of your new borders and answer any questions you might have then
How about solving those vexing little areas in your garden that need a fresh eye to make them part of your space. A new idea to hide the wheelie bins, a shady corner or a wildlife friendly corner.
