A home for critters and crawlers

This is a great garden for families. Lots for the kids to do and learn from. The patio is in natural wood decking but could also be stone, with ground cover plants filling the cracks and spaces. The paths are mulch or leaf and there is also a wooden arbour to sit and watch the mini world go by. Large water harvesting tanks to feed the irrigation and nestling close to the side of the house, have evolved from those ugly plastic bins they used to be.

Only natural: A little bit of the great outdoors in your back yard
  • If you’re keen to provide some natural habitats for birds, bees and a pond for newts and frogs this garden has something for the airborne and the aquatic
  • The meadow grass lawn provides pollen for the bees, butterflies and other insects, it’s also low maintenance, your kids’ feet will wear it down and keep mowing to a minimum
  • Log screens create areas for little critters like hedgehogs to spend their sleepy winter days and could also accommodate bug hotels
  • The trees and shrubs, evergreens with sturdy structures, are the best choices for nesting birds

Buzzing around: The bees and birds do the busy part while you sit back and watch
